So far, seven out of Team USA’s 10 gold medals at the 2026 Winter Olympics were secured by women.
That’s right, we have 31 badass women to thank for 70% America’s bragging rights as of day 15 of the Milano Cortina Games. One of those elite athletes was Alysa Liu, who secured Team USA’s first gold medal in women’s free skating since Sarah Hughes in 2002. Of course, that was after she’d already helped the United States snag a gold medal during the team skating event on February 8.
The same day Liu’s joyful skate to Donna Summer’s disco anthem “MacArthur Park Suite” earned her the top podium spot on February 19, Team USA faced off against Team Canada in the most-watched women’s hockey game ever, cinching their gold medal victory in overtime.
Either storybook ending would be the perfect way to cap off the 2026 Winter Olympics, but there are still a few days to go before the closing ceremony on February 22. Here all all the women from Team USA who have won gold so far.
