Alfie Allen Is A Twisted Teacher In Trailer For ‘Girl Taken’

Earlier this month we had exclusive first-look images of Paramount+‘s Girl Taken, and now the psychological drama series has a trailer.

The six-part Girl Taken stars Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones, Atomic), Jill Halfpenny (The Cuckoo, After the Flood), Tallulah Evans (The Forsyte Saga, My Fault: London) and Delphi Evans. The six-part psychological thriller previously known as Baby Doll will premiere globally on Paramount+ on January 8, 2026, as we told you two weeks ago.

Based on Hollie Overton’s novel ‘Baby Doll,’ and produced through Paramount+’s UK division follows the story of twin sisters Lily and Abby, whose lives are shattered when Lily is abducted from their quiet rural English town by beloved local teacher Rick Hansen. After years of abuse in captivity, she escapes, only to discover freedom brings its own challenges.

In the trailer, we hear the creepy Rick (Allen) tell an imprisoned Lily (Tallulah Evans), “This is going to be good… You’re going to learn to be good,” as her desperate mother, Eve (Jill Halfpenny), appeals to the public for help. Rick is seen ‘aiding’ the search for the missing teenager, with quick, sharp cuts revealing his true nature. “Going to behave now… Baby doll,” says twisted Rick later, as he strokes the face in Lily, who is lying down chained to a bed.

Supporting the lead cast are Vikash Bhai, Niamh Walsh, Levi Brown, Victoria Ekanoye, Holly Atkins and Kiran Krishnakumar.

Clapperboard Studios produced the show for Paramount+, with Paramount Global Content Distribution handling sales outside of markets where the streamer isn’t present. Mike Benson and Suzi McIntosh serve as executive producers for Clapperboard, with Mick Pantaleo producing. The series has been adapted for screen by David Turpin (The Ex-Wife, The Cuckoo), Suzanne Cowie (The Serial Killer’s Wife, Good Ship Murder) and Nessah Muthy (The Ex-Wife, Grantchester). Laura Way (The Serial Killer’s Wife, Maxine) and Bindu de Stoppani (Silent Witness, Beyond Paradise) are the directors.
