Immigration minister Mike Tapp said on Monday that Nicolás Maduro was an “evil dictator”, but avoided commenting on the legality of his removal.
“We, in no way, are upset that this man is no longer in charge . . . And Keir Starmer has been clear that we hope to see a democratic transition,” Tapp told the BBC Today show, echoing comments from the prime minister at the weekend.
“It is for the Americans to lay out the legal basis,” Tapp added.
