Arian Moayed Joins ‘The Off Weeks’ Apple TV Limited Series

EXCLUSIVE: Arian Moayed (Fountain of Youth, Succession) has been cast in the eight-episode Apple limited series The Off Weeks, starring and executive produced by Jessica Chastain and Ben Stiller.

From executive producer and showrunner Alissa Nutting, The Off Weeks follows writing professor Gus Adler (Stiller), whose divorce has thrown his life into chaos. He struggles to hold things together during “on weeks” when he has custody of his kids. But in his “off weeks,” he’s falling dangerously in love with Stella West (Chastain), a mysterious woman whose arrival puts Gus’ on-week duties and off-weeks ambitions on a fatal collision course.

Moayed will play the series regular role of Angelo, Gus’ boss.

The Off Weeks will reunite Chastain and Moayed, her co-star in the Broadway production of A Doll’s House, which premiered in 2023 at the Hudson Theatre.

Hailing from Apple Studios, The Off Weeks is produced for Apple TV by global independent studio wiip. In addition to Nutting, Stiller executive produces for Red Hour alongside John Lesher, and Chastain executive produces alongside Kelly Carmichael for Freckle Films. Showalter, who directs and developed the project with Semi-Formal Productions, executive produces alongside Jordana Mollick. Paul Lee and Gabriel Fisher executive produce for wiip. Peter Principato, Allen Fischer and Brian Steinberg executive produce for Artists First. Dean Bakopoulos (Made for Love) also serves as executive producer.

Moayed can currently be seen in the second season of the hit Netflix series Nobody Wants This. He most recently starred in Guy Ritchie’s Fountain of Youth alongside Natalie Portman and John Krasinski, as well as in House of Spoils for Blumhouse opposite Ariana DeBose.

Moayed is best known for playing Stewy Hosseini in the HBO smash Succession across the dramedy’s four seasons. For his work, he received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama series in 2022 and 2023. Additional TV credits include Inventing Anna, Love Life and Ms. Marvel. He can next be seen in Marvel Television’s Wonder Man.

His film credits also include A24’s You Hurt My Feelings, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Song for a Sloth, Shell and The Courtroom, which he wrote and premiered at the Tribeca Festival and was produced by Waterwell.

Moayed is repped by Kipperman Management, UTA, and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams.
