Zohran Mamdani will make his first appearance on ABC‘s The View next week since he was sworn in as mayor of New York.
Mamdani will appear on the show on Tuesday. He previously appeared on Oct. 1, during the campaign, when he addressed concerns that President Donald Trump would withhold federal funding from the city if he got elected.
“This is just one of the many threats that Donald Trump makes. Every day he wakes up, he makes another threat, a lot of the times about the city that he actually comes from,” Mamdani said on the show.
Since then, Mamdani has met with Trump at the White House, and the president praised the incoming mayor. Axios reported this week that Mamdani and Trump have been texting back and forth recently.
