Pink and brown sneakers are trending for spring 2026—and Nike is leading the way.
Sometimes there are pairings and combinations that are simply made for each other: Mint and watermelon when it comes to food. Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in “Wurthering Heights.” Or brown and pink for spring fashion trends.
I’d usually be the last person to count that particular color combination among my personal dream duos. After all, I would definitely consider myself a minimalist when it comes to my personal style and primarily wear understated colors like black, gray, white, or dark blue.
Amid the earth tones’ rising popularity, my first dark brown sweater actually landed in my wardrobe last winter—inspired, among other things, by Jennifer Lawrence. And now it looks like pink might make its way there for spring. Although, instead of my wardrobe, the romantic powder pink will probably be found in my shoe collection. In fact, just a few days ago–during Dior’s Haute Couture show–I realized how wonderfully pink shoes can be combined with minimalist looks in black, gray, or white.
However, it’s clear brown and pink is the most beautiful color combination for sneakers in spring 2026. I was completely won over by the new sneaker trend because of Nike‘s “Shox Z” model, which comes in a brown and pink color combination that looks so refreshingly casual, yet understatedly classic that it fits perfectly with my minimalist style.
This particular model impresses with its trendy dark brown and pink colors, as well as its unique fit. The “Shox Z” is inspired by a retro running shoe and was first launched in the early 2000s. This 2026 reissue of the sneaker features a slim shape and a low profile—skillfully tapping into the current hype surrounding nostalgic slim sneakers. The narrow silhouette is further emphasized by the textile upper and the synthetic leather accents positioned centrally in the toe area.
The highlight of these sneakers is definitely the striking Shox pillars on the sole. These primarily serve a practical function, providing springy cushioning—but at the same time, the pillars are also a visual design element, giving the shoes a kind of elegant wedge heel without sacrificing their sporty aesthetic.
In the case of the brown and pink model, only the shock-absorbing columns are finished in the light pastel shade. This means that, from above (and the wearer’s perspective), the dark brown sneakers appear very simple and minimalist, with the pink accents only visible from the side. They can be styled beautifully, especially when combined with long, flowing trousers or wide-leg jeans that reach down to the heels. Meanwhile, the 2000s-style sneakers would also look fantastic when contrasted withelegant midi dresses or classic blazers.
