Phars Film Acquires ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’


EXCLUSIVE: Phars Film has acquired international distribution rights to Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups

The deal includes rights to the indian language versions of the film. That is, the Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam language editions of Toxic. The English language distribution rights are still being negotiated. 

Geethu Mohandas directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Yash. 

The film’s synopsis reads: Set in a bygone era, this gripping tale unfolds in the coastal paradise of Goa, where a powerful drug cartel pulls the strings behind a facade of sun-soaked beaches and vibrant culture.

“With Toxic, our goal was to tell a story that resonates beyond borders. We are proud to bring this film to international audiences and to see its themes connect across cultures,” Ahmad Golchin, CEO and Founder of Phars Films, said in a statement. 

“This overseas release marks an important milestone for Phars Film, and we’re excited for viewers worldwide to experience the intensity and emotional depth of Toxic.”

The film’s technical team includes cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music was composed by Ravi Basrur, and editing was done by Ujwal Kulkarni. TP Abid was the production designer.
