Ben York Jones Signs With Paradigm


EXCLUSIVE: Screenwriter and television creator Ben York Jones has signed with Paradigm for representation. 

Jones co-created, co-showran, executive produced, and co-starred in Netflix’s 90s-set Everything Sucks! in 2018. The coming-of-age series followed two groups of high school misfits, an A/V club and a drama club, who collide in 1996 Oregon.

It starred Peyton Kennedy and Jahi Winston as students Kate Messner and Luke O’Neil, with Patch Darragh and Claudine Nako as their respective parents. The series also featured Sydney Sweeney as Emaline, Elijah Stevenson as Oliver, Quinn Liebling as Tyler, and Rio Mangini as McQuaid.

On the film side, Jones’ screenwriting credits include Like Crazy, which won the 2011 Sundance Film Festival U.S. Dramatic Grand Jury Prize, Breathe In starring Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce and Amy Ryan, Ashes in the Snow starring Bel Powley, Newness starring Nicholas Hoult, Laia Costa, and Danny Huston, which premiered at Sundance in 2017 and was subsequently acquired by Netflix and the Netflix original feature Hello, Goodbye & Everything in Between based on the novel of the same name.

He’s developed and sold a variety of film and TV projects to STARZ, Peacock, NBC, UCP, eOne, Netflix, Quibi, Universal TV, Sony/Tri-Star, A+E Studios, and Paramount Pictures.

Jones will continue to be represented by Luber Roklin Entertainment and Brecheen Feldman Breimer Silver Thompson.
