Following the recent deaths of James Van Der Beek and Eric Dane, Kimberly Van Der Beek is offering her support to Rebecca Gayheart.
The wife of the late Dawson’s Creek star paid tribute to Dane following his death at age 53 on Thursday, in addition to extending her support to the Grey’s Anatomy alum’s wife Rebecca Gayheart.
“RIP @realericdane,” wrote Kimberly with a red carpet photo of the four of them on her Instagram Story. “We love you @rebeccagayheartdane. Will miss our guys laughing at Christmas parties together.”
Gayheart shared the image to her Story, writing to Kimberly, “So much love for you.”
Dane’s family announced his death in a statement on Thursday, after he revealed his ALS diagnosis last year.
“With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS,” they said in part. “He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.”
Last week, James Van Der Beek died at age 48, following his struggle with colorectal cancer, which he revealed in November 2024.
“Our beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning,” the family wrote on Instagram. “He met his final days with courage, faith, and grace. There is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity and the sacredness of time. Those days will come. For now we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve our loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.”
