The fall 2026 catwalks continue apace across London, but this evening, the capital’s attention turns to fashion in a different context: the red carpet at the 2026 BAFTAs.
And so here we are, at Vogue HQ, sanity hanging on by a skin tag, and watching spotlights rake the skyline across the Thames, as some of Hollywood’s biggest names—Monica Bellucci, Emma Stone, Odessa A’zion, Timothée Chalamet, Jessie Buckley, Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor, Patrick Dempsey, Gillian Anderson, Kate Hudson, Glenn Close and Jacob Elordi—descend on the Royal Festival Hall for British film’s biggest night out.
Who among them will dare to wear the “Paul Mescal” dress that Central Saint Martins graduate Oli Clarke just sent down the runway as part of the fashion school’s MA showcase? Probably none of them. Oh, well: the BAFTAs are rarely short on fashion coups. Think: Marianne Jean-Baptiste in what she described as “titty-licious” McQueen; Colman Domingo in sleazy-chic Versace; and Gwendoline Christie, statuesque in a gothic black silk gown designed by her partner, Giles Deacon, at last year’s ceremony.
