Daisy Edgar-Jones in a modern trench, small black sunglasses, leather boots and classic jeans: anything even remotely minimalistic is suddenly screaming Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy to us. And why not? CBK was a style icon before and after her tragic death, and her outfits are having a major moment right now because of Love Story. But before you go out and buy a whole new wardrobe, consider taking a page out of Daisy’s book and finding the elements that work for you.
For a recent walk around Mayfair during London Fashion Week, the Twisters star put her own twist on ’90s staples. Her coat is the Burberry Fitzrovia Double-Breasted Trench, which she buttoned all the way up to create an atypical collar. (DEJ loooooves a big brown coat.) She kept her bangs and naturally wavy hair down instead of suddenly adopting a ponytail and headband…and there’s no red lipstick in sight. All of which is to say, she looks like she put CBK on the mood board but isn’t in a costume. After all, she’s a young Brit in 2026, not a nostalgia cosplayer.
