Watch out, Jacob Elordi: there’s a new bag boy in town.
Harris Dickinson is taking a break from becoming George Harrison in Sam Mendes’s four-party Beatles biopic to show off his fashion prowess. The actor touched down in the City of Light ahead of Paris Fashion Week, where he wore a navy blue zip-up over a white tee, slouchy brown trousers, and a pair of rugged, red-laced Danner mountain boots.
But Dickinson’s bag contrasted his more masculine outfit: a travel-sized black Balenciaga City bag replete with black hardware for a grungier finish. The storied purse, which launched under Nicolas Ghesquière in fall 2001, has a long history with celebrities: Sienna Miller favored a cherry red colorway, while Mary-Kate Olsen’s mint motorcycle bag was riddled with red wine stains.
And, while men are no strangers to carrying bags (case in point, A$AP Rocky’s extensive collection), they’ve become the accessory du jour for a certain set. Elordi is a dedicated fan of Bottega Veneta, from his Andiamo bag to his intrecciato suitcase. Meanwhile, David Beckham has embraced the Hermès Haut à Courroies Birkin, which he brought along to Paris for Victoria Beckham’s Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres ceremony.
Now, Harris Dickinson is all aboard the trend. Maybe we’ll see him—and his City bag—at the Balenciaga show.
