Paris-based digital distribution company Logicomix, which is specialised in creating and managing YouTube channels, has struck a deal with Sony Pictures France (SPF) covering a wide variety of classic films in its library.
Under the deal, the SPF films will be made available on YouTube channels created, curated and managed by Logicomix. The agreement includes titles such as Mike Nichols’ Wolf (1994), John Cassavetes’ Gloria (1980), Sydney Pollack’s The Way We Were (1973) and J. Lee Thompson’s Mackenna’s Gold.
The titles will be accessible in France, with a handful also available on Logicomix-managed channels in Belgium, Switzerland & French speaking Africa.
The deal will expand Logicomix’s cinema offering, which currently spans seven dedicated channels and attracts more than 16 million unique viewers per month. The current catalog covers all formats, from feature films to short films, and is aimed at both mainstream audiences and niche communities.
Launched in 2016, France-based Logicomix publishes and monetises YouTube channels in partnership with producers, distributors, and broadcasters.
According to its own figures, it generated six billion video views in 2025 across more than 180 managed channels with a combined offering of more than 15,000 hours of TV drama, 300 feature films and shorts as well as 4,000 hours of documentary.
On the basis of sustained growth in the cinema business, which Logicomix says saw a 65% increase in revenue in 2025, the company plans to launch five new thematic channels by the end of the first semester of 2026.
“This agreement with Sony Pictures France strengthens our portfolio of movie channels broadcast on YouTube,” said Logicomix founder and CEO Yann Chapellon.
“The platform now plays a central role in French people’s usage and offers a major opportunity for feature films exposure. Our ambition is to provide them with a structured editorial framework that can extend their exploitation cycle and develop their value in a sustainable way.”
