The 2026 SAG Actor Awards red carpet may have come with a dress code—Hollywood glamour from the 1920s and ’30s—but that didn’t stop a familiar trend from prevailing: lingerie dressing.
Bedroom-ready fashion took many forms on the red carpet, but slip dresses proved a common theme. Gwyneth Paltrow balanced glamour with sexuality in a plunging black lace Givenchy by Sarah Burton dress, while the evening’s host Kirsten Bell chose a diaphanous, beaded Georges Hobeika dress with a dramatic gray train.
Not everyone stuck to the Old Hollywood brief. Jenna Ortega chose a tattered ivory slip from Christian Cowan, which featured a lace strap hanging off her shoulder and a torn, raw-hemmed skirt. She accessorized the grungy look with a pair of dove-gray, thigh-high stockings and black platforms. Emma Stone, meanwhile, eschewed the ’20s and ’30s altogether, opting for a ’90s interpretation in a shimmery, lavender Louis Vuitton spaghetti strap dress with a matching cardigan. Midcentury lingerie was another jumping-off point, from Parker Posey’s pink, feathered Gucci dress to Jackie Tohn’s teddy-esque Genny look.
