“As you know, this year the show got a little bit of a facelift. Like many people in this room can understand, we nipped the ‘sag,’ and now it’s just the Actor Awards,” host Kristen Bell quipped at the 2026 SAG Actor Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
From that cheeky start unfolded a ceremony full of sweet, off-the-cuff moments between attendees at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, both on stage and off. It was a big night for Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, for one thing, with Michael B. Jordan taking home the award for best actor and the entire cast winning the coveted best ensemble award. In his moving acceptance speech, Jordan recalled getting his SAG-AFTRA union membership card, echoing The Pitt star Noah Wyle, who took his card out of his wallet earlier in the show. “I love being an actor, I love actors,” he declared to the audience, adding: “I’m so grateful to this union.”
