Kate Middleton paid a visit to Leicester, England today, in order to celebrate the Indian community in the city, a day after the Hindu festival of Holi. For the occasion, the Princess of Wales chose an all-white ensemble, comprising a custom coat by Chris Kerr and a matching pleated midi-dress underneath, which she paired with brown pumps, and gold tassel earrings from Sézane.
On arriving at the Aakash Odedra Company, the dance studio of choreographer Aakash Odedra, Kate was presented with a rose garland—a symbol of respect and honor in Indian culture. After watching a dance rehearsal, the royal went on to tour a number of businesses—including an Indian fashion boutique—in Leicester’s Golden Mile. Later on in the day, Kate visited Shreeji Dham Haveli, a Hindu temple, where she was presented with another floral garland and a yellow silk scarf.
It’s been a busy few weeks for Kate Middleton, who paid a visit to Powys, Wales, last Thursday with the Prince of Wales in order to mark St David’s Day. For the occasion, and in spite of the rain, Kate rewore an Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton coat in her current favorite shade of burgundy. At the weekend, the couple released their first joint address entirely in Welsh in honor of the country’s patron saint’s day—the princess opted for a houndstooth pleated maxi dress by Alessandra Rich (another rewear, of course), with puffed sleeves, buttons, and a feminine collar, all set in the colors of the Welsh dragon.
Meanwhile, at the end of February, Kate made her first appearance at the BAFTAs for three years, opting for a custom dusty pink Gucci dress that she previously wore at a Women in Finance dinner back in 2019. With spring incoming and the yearly Easter service in the near-future, we’re sure to see more of the princess and her family soon.
