Hilary Duff stepped out in New York City on Monday, March 9 wearing dark boot-cut jeans, black square-toed leather boots, loose blonde waves, and No Sleeves, served three ways. Let us explain.
For her early spring look, Duff layered a white cap-sleeved T-shirt under a gray sweater vest, then put a black sweater over her shoulders, not even tying the arms together in that just-back-from-the-tennis-court way. Instead, she let them dangle, one secured under the strap of her handbag, sort of the sweater version of Fashion People Don’t Put Their Arms Into Their Coats.
Accessorizing with a simple gold watch, Duff’s entire look is minimalist and comfortable, her layers perfect for the often fickle weather of New York in March.

The same day, she sat down for a chat with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show and performed a song from her new album luck…or something. For the former, she wore black; in the latter, white.
