EXCLUSIVE: Five new recurring stars have been booked for Fox‘s new Baywatch series, including Ashley Moore ( I Know What You Did This Summer), Kylar Miranda (On Swift Horses), Luke Eisner (Tall Girl), Nadia Gray (All Rise), and Charlie McElveen (Clipped). The continuation is scheduled to launch as part of the network’s 2026-27 season.
The cast also includes the previously announced lead, Stephen Amell, and the series regular ensemble: Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, and Brooks Nader as Selene, the sharp-tongued captain of the Zuma Beach lifeguards. David Chokachi will reprise his role of Cody Madison — who now runs The Shoreline, the unofficially official Baywatch bar and grill — from the original series in a recurring role.
Shay Mitchell was recently confirmed as a series regular playing Trina, a former lawyer turned lifeguard, and Livvy Dunne as Grace, a highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard.
On Baywatch, the wild child Hobie Buchannon (Amell) from the original series is now a Baywatch captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father Mitch (played by David Hasselhoff in the OG series). Hobie’s world is turned upside down when Charlie (Jessica Belkin), the daughter he never knew, shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and become a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her dad.
The newbies will play the following characters: Moore as Jasmine, a rookie lifeguard with a lot of skills and even more attitude. She’s the mean girl of the beach, but there’s nobody better in a crisis; Miranda as Diego, an experienced lifeguard from East LA, the handyman of the Baywatch team; Eisner as Koya, Luke’s (Noah Beck) best friend among the rookies. He has some surprising and quirky depths under his surfer-boy looks; Gray as Lisa, an EMT on the team assigned to the beach, she’s a partner to the Baywatch team and friends with everyone. She has particular chemistry with one of the lifeguards, and McElveen as Ethan, a handsome and successful lawyer. He is a former colleague of Trina’s who meets with her to discuss a potential assault case. He’s dismissive towards the case despite his offer to help, and questions why Trina cares so much.
Fox has teased that Baywatch will feature adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with a new cast donning the show’s signature red swimsuits, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline.
The reboot received a 12-episode straight-to-series order from the broadcast network in September, after having been in development at Fox since winter 2024. Production is slated to begin shooting this spring on Venice Beach and on the Fox Studio Lot in Century City.
The new Baywatch is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle with Nix (Burn Notice, The Gifted) serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside executive producers McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto and Mike Horowitz. McG will direct the series premiere episode. Fox Entertainment Global holds all domestic distribution rights, and Fremantle manages all international sales.
Moore is repped by Gersh, Luber Roklin Ent and Skrzyniarz & Mallean. Miranda is repped by LA Talent and MRK MGMT. Eisner is repped by Buchwald and Thruline Entertainment. Gray is repped by Brave Artists Management. McElveen is repped by Framework Entertainment and CESD Talent Agency.
