The ladies of Gilead were in France, Saturday, for the world premiere of Hulu’s The Testaments. Chase Infiniti swapped the red carpet of the Oscars last weekend for the purple carpet, as the series provided a splashy opening to this year’s Series Mania drama fest.
Infiniti was joined by co-stars Ann Dowd and Lucy Halliday as well as series creator Bruce Miller and producer Warren Littlefield for the premiere.

The show will be on Disney+ worldwide from next month. The show follows Agnes (Infiniti), the daughter of a high-ranking commander enrolled in an elite preparatory school run by Aunt Lydia (Dowd). Halliday plays Daisy, an outsider who joins the school in the coming of age tale.
Based on the 2019 Margaret Atwood novel, it is a sequel to her earlier and hugely acclaimed novel The Handmaid’s Tale, which was also successfully adapted for TV. Elisabeth Moss was the star of the earlier series and is an exec producer on the new chapter. MGM Television is on production duty.

Series Mania has had a strong pedigree with U.S. series, dating back to it showing the full season of Mad Men during its inaugural edition in 2010. In recent times, premieres have included Netflix’s Three Body Problem and HBO’s Succession.
Series Mania has established itself as Europe’s premiere TV drama fest. The public facing festival runs alongside an industry-focused Forum. Festival screenings this year also include AMC series The Audacity. Forum highlights include a Deadline-moderated keynote from Disney’s new EMEA originals boss Angela Jain.
