With their first album in more than five years, BTS is officially back together and ready to bring new music to their Army with a global tour.
During the South Korean boy band’s Netflix concert special BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang on Friday, which marked their first time performing together since going on hiatus in 2022 for their mandatory military service, the group teased more to come with the tour supporting their tenth studio album.
“Army, I’m so happy to be back. This moment is possible thanks to you,” said J-Hope in Korean during the live-streamed concert at the historic Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, before declaring in English: “BTS 2.0 is just getting started!”
Jin added, “Thank you for waiting, Army.”
Later, RM said, “No matter what happens, we promise to keep swimming together.”
Marking their album Arirang‘s Friday, the group performed eight of their new songs live for the first time, in addition to their hits ‘Butter’, ‘Dynamite’ and ‘MIC Drop’.
Netflix will also share a behind-the-scenes look at the new album with the documentary BTS: The Return, premiering Friday, March 27 on the streaming platform.
BTS kicks off their Arirang World Tour on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, visiting 34 cities across 23 countries over the next year.
