Trump Shares ‘SNL UK’ Clip Mocking Keir Starmer & Himself

A longtime hater of the flagship NBC sketch comedy series, Donald Trump appears to be a fan of Saturday Night Live UK after its debut this weekend.

On Sunday, the 45th/47th POTUS shared a clip of the premiere episode’s cold open, mocking Prime Minister Keir Starmer with his tail between his legs while attempting to call Trump and put his foot down.

“Golly! What if Donald shouts at me? What do I say, Lammy?” asks cast member George Fouracres in his impersonation of Starmer, before hanging up at the sound of Trump’s voice. “Oh sod that scary, scary, wonderful president! Why is he so difficult to talk to?”

While Trump shared the clip to Truth Social with no caption, it was an edited version that stopped short of Starmer taking a stand. “Most importantly, remember the one where Ross and Rachel were on a break? I think perhaps that’s what we need,” he says in a Friends-related rant on a voice note for Trump.

“Not forever, just until you’ve got all this war out of your system,” adds Starmer. “Listen, we want different things. I know how badly you want to start World War III, and that’s great. You should absolutely do that, but we can’t be a part of it. You can however use the naval bases whenever you want.”

Trump is frequently critical of the Lorne Michaels-created US parent series, in which he is often portrayed in cold opens by James Austin Johnson.
