The E.W. Scripps Co. has unveiled plans for a new unscripted original produced by Kevin Hart, an interview series hosted by former CNN and Fox News personality Alisyn Camerota and a 24-7 sports FAST channel.
The announcements were made in advance of the company’s 2026-27 upfront presentation this week in New York. Scripps has a diverse set of holdings spanning local and national broadcast TV, streaming, digital and print. Its annual spelling bee is also a noted property in the portfolio.
With the Ion broadcast network holding rights to WNBA and NWSL games, along with various other live sports on Ion and other networks, the company wanted to create a 24/7 home for live events, originals, documentaries and other sports programming. Scripps Sports Network, or SSN, will premiere Tuesday on major streaming outlets like the Roku Channel, Amazon’s Fire TV Channels and Prime Video, and Samsung TV Plus.
In 2025, the company said, streaming viewership for the NWSL and WNBA on Ion combined for a 25% year-over-year increase, reflecting a surge of interest in women’s sports across the media landscape.
“Our recent live sports streaming growth tells us that fans are hungry for more,” said Brian Lawlor, president of Scripps Sports. “A dedicated 24/7 sports FAST channel allows us to further leverage our existing sports rights, create a platform for emerging league partnerships and grow our position in sports, particularly women’s sports, all while serving fans and marketing partners year-round.”
Keisha Taylor Starr, general manager of Scripps Networks and Scripps chief marketing officer, said the FAST channel is designed to stand out in “today’s fragmented sports media landscape … meeting the moment as a reliable, easy-to-access home for passionate fans.”
Camerota, who announced the end of her 10-year CNN run in December 2024, will host Connected with Alisyn Camerota on streaming network Scripps News. The half-hour show, featuring one-on-one conversations with sports leaders, politicians, musicians, journalists and others will premiere on Friday at 8 p.m. ET and will run for six consecutive weeks.
“Scripps News is the natural home for these conversations because it values depth, connection and authenticity,” Camerota said.
Bounce, the multicast network acquired by Scripps with a handful of others in 2017, will premiere unscripted original series The Silver Fox Squad. Produced by Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat along with BluSpeed Productions, the series celebrates what Scripps calls “the grown-man glow-up.” The core group of subjects are all “impeccably
In partnership with Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat and BluSpeed Productions, Bounce will premiere “The Silver Fox Squad,” a new unscripted original series celebrating the “grown-man glow-up.” Each episode follows The Silver Foxes, described as “stylish, accomplished, impeccably dressed entrepreneurial men over 50” who share their expertise with men looking to improve their looks as well as their physical and mental health.
The series will kick off a 10-week run later this year on Bounce.
