EXCLUSIVE: Lola Kirke (Sinners), Pauline Chalamet (The Sex Lives of College Girls), and John Gallagher Jr. (10 Cloverfield Lane) have wrapped on Swim Fishy, the debut feature written, directed and produced by Kristen Buckels Cantrell, which also stars Jenny O’Hara and Raúl Castillo.
Hailing from 2801 Productions, with production taking place in Arkansas, the film follows Clea (Kirke), a newly pregnant thirty-something struggling to get her life together, who reluctantly joins her tightly wound sister Frannie (Chalamet) on a road trip to visit her estranged parents. When Clea brings along her free-spirited friend Abel (Gallagher Jr.) to lighten the mood, clashing personalities and a string of chaotic detours force the trio to confront old wounds and buried truths on a journey that becomes an unexpected reckoning.
