This spring, Vogue is teaming up with writer Biz Sherbert to scour the country for the most stylish young Americans across all 50 states. We’re calling the project American Style x Vogue—and we want you to apply.
Here’s how it works: From March 25 through April 1, United States residents between the ages of 18 and 30 are encouraged to submit photos, a short video, and a questionnaire about their personal style via the Open Casting Portal, accessible exclusively on the Vogue app. There is no entry fee.
American Style x Vogue finalists will be featured in an editorial on Vogue.com. If chosen, the photos and videos submitted in the open casting application may be used in the story and on social media.
Below, some guidance for the photo and video submissions:
- Images should be high quality and clearly in focus.
- Please make sure photos are taken in well-lit conditions.
- Choose simple or uncluttered backgrounds so the focus remains on you and your look.
- Photos may be taken indoors or outdoors. Outdoor settings are encouraged.
- Avoid filters, graphics, or text overlays.
- Avoid selfies when possible; photos taken by another person or a self-timer are preferred.
- Submit recent photos that reflect how you currently style yourself.
