Selena Gomez’s ‘Petal Pink Nude Mani’ Proves You Should Choose Polish Like Foundation

Selena Gomez’s upcoming Rare Beauty longwear foundation is dropping in 48 shades for the most precise match possible—so, why don’t we ask the same of our nude manicures?

With ultra-minimalist nail trends on the rise for spring 2026, nude polish and neutral manicures have been adopted by even the most maximalist nail-fluencers. So it was only a matter of time before we started picking nude nail polish the way we choose foundation—and Selena Gomez proved just how healthy and fresh a nude manicure can look with a precise shade match.

On March 25, nail artist Tom Bachik gave his Instagram followers another look at the “Petal Pink Nude Mani” the singer has been sporting throughout the month. He used the shade “FS106” from his new own brand’s upcoming NEUDES Foundation Series, opting for a sheer-coverage nude with pink undertones that doesn’t mask the natural shift from the cuticle to the nail plate to the tip.

Combined with her rounded almond shape, Gomez’s nails look clean and healthy with just the right amount of shine for an elevated take on a bare nail. You know, kind of like a tinted moisturizer or sunscreen evens out your skin-tone and adds a touch of glow without looking like you’re wearing makeup.

Bachik’s NEUDES series are broken up into three different makeup categories: Foundation, Concealer, and Blush. According to Bachik’s Instagram post, the foundation series is made up of “balanced, skin-tone neutrals that even everything out and create a clean, polished look,” while his concealer series “perfects” the nail with “lighter, brightening tones.” Of course, the eight “blush” tones add a “flush of color” with warm pinks and reddish tones with a sheer, buildable finish. Each of the 33 shades retail for $17.50 and are available for pre-order.

Gomez previously modeled the blush-inspired collection as well, wearing shade “BS104” to achieve a Juicy Pink Gloss Mani with the same jelly gloss effect that we love to see on our lips. This entire launch begs the question: why haven’t we been treating nude manicures like makeup all along?
