Jenny Daly Launches Studio82 Banner

EXCLUSIVE: Jenny Daly, former President of Critical Content and A. Smith & Co. Productions, is launching her own banner.

Daly has established Studio82 to produce unscripted and scripted series. It comes five months after Daly left the American Ninja Warrior producer.

The focus for Studio82 will be developing unscripted projects for creators and celebrities as well as a scripted YA division.

Daly, who teased a move into the creator economy in November, is working with Trusted Media Brand Studios, the publishing company behind Reader’s Digest to turn its IP into series and has partnered with Sean Kelly and Steve Hughes, who have worked on series such as Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity? and Big Brother, to develop new projects.

The plan is to work with hit creators on projects that come out of both of these partnerships.

Daly, who exec produced Netflix drama series Ginny & Georgia, which is filming its fourth season, is also launching a dedicated scripted YA division.

She is also working with Veritas Entertainment’s Peter Jaysen and Alan Gasmer, who produced Timothée Chalamet’s Bob Dylan movie A Complete Unknown, on a number of scripted projects and documentaries.

During her time at Critical, Daly produced projects such as Netflix’s Sylvester Stallone documentary Sly and Get Organized with The Home Edit and E!’s Celebrity Game Face.

“I’m more than ready to be back in a position where I can steer my own ship and partner with talent to take storytelling to a new level,” said Daly. “Studio82 is a space where collaboration with the best of the entertainment business is a key strategic element. Through undeniable content we are maximizing our pathway to success.”
