‘Saturday Night Live UK’ Names Jack Whitehall As Another Host


Saturday Night Live UK named ‘The Burbs actor Jack Whitehall as host of the British sketch show’s fourth episode.

He will lead the cast at 10pm local time on April 11 before the show takes a one-week hiatus the following week. The musical act is soul singer Jorja Smith.

Next week’s episode will be hosted by Bait actor Riz Ahmed, who is joined by rock band Kasabian. The first was led by Tina Fey and this past weekend’s host was The Tourist star Jamie Dornan.

Whitehall is currently starring in Peacock comedy ‘The Burbs and has recent credits for the likes of Prime Video’s Malice. Notably, he was the host of the 2026 Brit Awards, and has a host of acting roles upcoming.

Broadcast live from London on Sky, Saturday Night Live UK has so far confounded critics and has been met with broadly good reviews. The cast comprises Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.

SNL UK is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video for Sky and streamer Now. SNL creator Lorne Michaels is executive producing, with James Longman the lead producer, Liz Clare the director and Daran Jonno Johnson is head writer.

UTAS UK Productions is overseen by Managing Director Helen Kruger Bratt. Shanna Baynard will serve as Executive in Charge of Production; Andy Charles Smith is the lead producer for UTAS UK Productions alongside Sam Salter, production executive. SNL UK was commissioned by Phil Edgar-Jones, Executive Director of Unscripted Originals and Lisa Clark, Commissioning Executive at Sky, for Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios & Chief Content Officer for Sky.
