While we don’t know if he’ll ever be seen again on Bridgerton, Regé-Jean Page is coming back to Netflix for another “erotic” series, which is good enough for us. The rising star, who first caught our attention as the brooding Duke Simon, just signed on for the lead role in thriller series Hancock Park, and though we don’t know much yet about the plot, the creatives attached to the project make it sound very promising.
Here’s what’s been revealed (or hinted at) so far…
What is Hancock Park about?
Hancock Park is one of the ritziest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, and as Deadline points out, both Bridgerton executive producer Shonda Rhimes and Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos have at one point owned homes there. Anyone else getting a You season three vibe?
Deadline describes the show as an “erotic thriller,” and the writer is Matthew Barry, a British writer with recent credits on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Industry. The production companies backing the project, Fifth Season and Creative Engine, also have drama bona fides. Per the Hancock Park IMDb page, the show’s logline reads, “A charismatic stranger rents an LA family’s guest house, revealing dark desires and secrets within their upscale neighborhood.”
When will Hancock Park be released?
As we’ve all learned from, well, Bridgerton (and even more so from Stranger Things), a good season of television can take a long time to make. But Deadline reports that Hancock Park is on the fast track, development-wise.
What that means in terms of Netflix’s actual timeline is anybody’s guess, but we’ll let you know the very instant we get an inkling that a camera has begun to roll. In the meantime…Outlander…you know…just saying…
Who’s in the cast?
So far it’s just Regé-Jean Page. Well, we’re seated!
