On Monday, Chase Infiniti proved her breakout star status with a Golden Globe nomination for her role in One Battle After Another — her very first film.
“I feel like my brain can’t really even compute how insane this is, but I feel so happy and I feel so, so blessed that I’m getting to ride this wave, this incredible wave so early on in my life and in my career,” she told Deadline following the nominations announcement.
Paul Thomas Anderson‘s One Battle After Another leads the Globes film race with a total of nine nominations. Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value is right behind them with a total of eight.
Infiniti was previously seen in the Presumed Innocent television series, before being snapped up by Anderson to play Willa in One Battle. In Anderson’s comedic caper, Willa is on the run from Sean Penn’s Colonel Lockjaw, as he seeks vengeance for the actions of her revolutionary parents Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Perfidia (Teyana Taylor).

“It’s been the biggest gift I could have ever received,” Infiniti said of the filmmaking experience and the nomination. “I feel so lucky that I’ve gotten to travel to all these incredible places and meet these people who I’ve looked up to for so long, and people who are fans of the film and fans of Paul and are really connecting with it. But I’ve been taking every day as it comes and taking little pictures of everything in my mind, because it’s such a rare thing and a beautiful thing that we get to do. I feel so lucky. It was an incredible group of people who I love so much, and a project that I love so much.”
Infiniti is next set to star as Agnes in The Testaments, the spin-off of The Handmaid’s Tale. With the recent drop of first-look photos from the new series, excitement is mounting among fans of the original Hulu show and the book by Margaret Atwood.
“I can’t tell you much about it,” Infiniti said, “but one of my favorite parts about it is that you get to see this whole other side of Gilead that you didn’t get to see in The Handmaid’s Tale, and you follow these three incredible characters who your heart will break with them and you’ll fall in love with them. And not to mention I play Hannah or Agnes, who is such a beloved character in the story and in the fandom. So I’m excited for people to get to see how her story continues to unfold.”

The “Hannah or Agnes” Infiniti refers to is her character Hannah Bankole, who was born to June and Luke and then kidnapped and adopted by the Gilead Commander’s family who renamed her Agnes MacKenzie.
The Testments will premiere in April of 2026, with Ann Dowd reprising her original role of Aunt Lydia from Handmaid’s, along with Lucy Halliday as Daisy, Rowan Blanchard as Shunammite, Mattea Conforti as Becka, as well as Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana, and Birva Pandya.
Infiniti will also star in The Julia Set, Niki Bryne’s film following Julia (Infiniti) a highly talented young mathematician who is recruited by Pascal, the T.A. (Christopher Briney) into an elite academic program competing for a mathematics prize. Gillian Anderson, Jason Isaacs, Nina Hoss and Chloe Bailey also star.
“We actually just wrapped, I want to say two weeks ago,” Infiniti said. “It was a very, an incredible experience that I’m so glad that I got to have. And I love the story. I love the director, I love the cast. I love Julia. So that’s something else that I’m so excited to be get to see. I think the story is pretty special.”
