Anya Taylor-Joy Just Gave Us Our First New Balmain Sighting

Break out your binoculars, folks, because we officially have our first wild celebrity sighting of Antonin Tron’s Balmain.

Anya Taylor-Joy kicked off Dune: Part 3 press this week at a teaser trailer release in New York, where we caught our first glimpse of the actor’s baby-banged Alia Atreides. While we’re sure she and her stylist, Ryan Hastings, are gearing up for another press tour filled with Arrakis-friendly ’fits, Taylor-Joy seems to be staying closer to earth in the meantime.

Leaving her hotel in the East Village today, Taylor-Joy opted for a look fresh from Balmain’s fall 2026 collection: a cropped black high-neck top and a knee-length leopard skirt, which featured a gradient print that warped into a fringed hem. She styled the look with black open-toe pumps and sleek sunglasses.

The look hails from Tron’s debut for the house earlier this month. The designer, who previously helmed Atlein, took the top job at Balmain following Olivier Rousteing’s departure in November. While we got used to Rousteing’s signature va-va-voom during his 14-year tenure, Tron is still showing us what we can expect from his Balmain. “The Balmain woman, she’s very unapologetic and very non-bourgeois, she’s quite badass,” Tron told Vogue ahead of his debut. With those attributes in mind, dressing Anya Taylor-Joy is certainly not a bad place to start.
