At Crufts 2026, a Different Kind of WAG Style

The British dog show Crufts well and truly entered fashion’s orbit in 2025, when Miuccia, a four-year-old whippet from Venice, beat more than 18,000 dogs to be crowned Best in Show at the NEC in Birmingham. While this year’s winner—a cuddly Clumber Spaniel from Somerset called Bruin—is not named after a revered designer, if the Instagram feeds of fashion editors over the weekend were any indication, then pedigree pooches are still every bit as captivating as the catwalks at Paris Fashion Week. And probably (excuse the pun) just as bitchy!

“He’s a bit of a diva, a bit like me really,” Bruin’s owner, Lee Cox, told Crufts commentators—a line-up that now includes British national treasure Claudia Winkleman, whose own glossy mane rivals the sheen of the mostcarefully tended purebred’s coat—following his pet’s triumph.
