Aubrey Plaza’s ‘Kevin’ Adds Addison Rae, Joe Locke Among Guest Stars


Prime Video has released the official trailer for Aubrey Plaza and Joe Wengert‘s Kevin, their upcoming adult animated comedy series about a neurotic housecat who breaks up with his owners. Additionally, Addison Rae, Joe Locke, Cary Elwes, Charles Melton, Nicole Byer, Ben Rodgers, Carl Tart, Debby Ryan, Eugene Cordero, Jim O’Heir, Wengert, John Milhiser, Lamar Woods, Lennon Parham, Maria Bamford, Mike Mitchell, Neil Casey, Nick Tiger Wiger, Pam Murphy, Patti LuPone, Quinta Brunson, Seth Kirschner, Stephanie Allynne, Stephen Malkmus, and Tig Notaro have signed on as guest stars in the series that launches on April 20.

Created by Plaza and Wengert, in Kevin, after the unexpected break-up of his human “owners,” Kevin, voiced by Jason Schwartzman, breaks up with them and moves into a local pet rescue in Astoria, Queens where a chaotic band of misfit animals will help him to figure out what he really wants out of life.

Plaza is Dana, one half of the human couple he leaves behind. Additional previously announced series regulars include Whoopi Goldberg as Cupcake, John Waters as Armando and Aparna Nancherla as Judy – Kevin’s new cat roommates at a local pet rescue run by human Seth, played by Gil Ozeri, and his dog Brandi, played by Amy Sedaris.

Plaza and Wengert executive produce and Wengert serves as showrunner. Dan Murphy, Chris Prynoski, Ben Kalina, Shannon Prynoski, and Antonio Canobbio also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Titmouse, Evil Hag Productions, and Amazon MGM Studios.

All eight episodes of the first season of Kevin will drop at once April 20 on Prime Video.
