Ben Stiller Praises Bad Bunny As Lawmakers Call For FCC Probe

Although Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl LX halftime performance has ruffled some feathers, he’s gained a conejo in Ben Stiller.

The Severance EP/director took to the 6x Grammy winner’s defense after Florida’s Rep. Randy Fine called for the FCC to investigate the “disgusting and pornographic filth” in Bad Bunny’s Sunday performance.

“Focus of investigation: how did Bad Bunny manage to kick ass at such a high level and deliver the most watched and well produced half time show about inclusion and love ever made….investigators plan to explore source of Bunny’s huge talent, off the charts charisma and even bigger heart,” wrote Stiller on X, responding to Fine.

Fine previously declared that he was writing a letter to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to demand action after Bunny allegedly sang the F-word in Spanish.

“You can’t say the f-word on live TV. ‘Bad Bunny’s disgusting halftime show was illegal,” he wrote on X. “Had he said these lyrics — and all of the other disgusting and pornographic filth in English on live TV, the broadcast would have been pulled down and the fines would have been enormous. Puerto Ricans are Americans and we all live by the same rules.

“We are sending @BrendanCarrFCC a letter calling for dramatic action, including fines and broadcast license reviews, against the @NFL, @nbc, and ‘Bad Bunny’. Lock them up,” added Fine.

Fine was not the only lawmaker outraged by Bunny’s performance, with Tennessee’s Rep. Andy Ogles and Missouri’s Rep. Mark Alford have also called for the FCC to investigate.

Predictably, Donald Trump slammed Bad Bunny’s show as “a slap in the face to our country” after his DHS secretary Kristi Noem warned that ICE will “be all over that place,” despite the Puerto Rican-born artist being an American citizen.
