Brand New Day’ First Trailer Shows Tom Holland & Zendaya

Here’s your first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which launches in cinemas from July 31.

Destin Daniel Cretton directs the anticipated fourth installment in the MCU‘s Spider-Man franchise, which completed filming late last year.

The synopsis reads: “Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.”

As the trailer reveals, “Sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker’s heart.”

Tom Holland is Spider-Man and Zendaya reprises her role as MJ, with Sadie Sink also joining the cast in an undisclosed role. John Bernthal is Punisher and Mark Ruffalo is Bruce Banner. Also starring are Jacob Batalon, Tramell Tillman, and Michael Mando.

Helmed by Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), producers include Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.

Filming began in Scotland last August but production briefly halted after Holland was treated for a mild concussion, reportedly during a stunt gone wrong. The actor was taken to the hospital and examined, but not admitted.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, from 2021, made $1.9BN at the global box office and $814M domestic.
