Demi Moore shocked fans when she arrived at Gucci’s Milan Fashion Week runway show with a dramatic bob and skintight leather look—at least, once they realized it was her.
Beyond her most iconic roles, Moore has long been admired for her glossy waist-length hair, which she’s been growing out since shaving her head for the 1997 action movie G.I. Jane. “It also kind of coincided with stepping back from work to be with my kids. I just started to let my hair grow,” Moore divulged to Margaret Qualley for her 2025 Glamour Women of the Year cover story. “And I think probably because I’m also lazy and I don’t like to sit in the chair or have to go and get it done a lot.”
On February 27, however, the 63-year-old actor stepped out with her shortest hairstyle in 28 years, having reached a similar length post-buzz cut by February 1998.
About 22-inches shorter than her trademark tresses, hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos gave Moore a chin-length bob with a wet finish for an even more dramatic effect.
“I wanted to give Demi Moore a major transformation for the first show of Demna at Gucci,” Giannetos told Vogue of the change. “I wanted to highlight Demi’s beautiful personality through the hair…iconic, fabulous, edgy, but at the same time, effortless.”
