Dua Lipa Joins ‘Peaked’ Comedy At A24 (EXCLUSIVE)

EXCLUSIVE: A24‘s Peaked has landed another buzzy name in Grammy-winning pop star Dua Lipa.

Character details are under wraps. In the film directed by Molly Gordon from a script by Allie Levitan, she’ll star alongside both.

Peaked follows the two girls who traumatized you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.

As previously announced, others in the ensemble include Emma Mackey, Connor Storrie, Laura Dern, Simone Ashley, Levon Hawke, Mitra Jouhari, Gabby Windey, Amy Sedaris, Owen Thiele, Jaya Harper, Emil Wakim, and Alex Consani.

A24 is financing the project and producing alongside David Hinojosa, Zach Nutman and Gordon, with Levitan exec producing. Production is slated to begin next month.

An English singer/songwriter who has won three Grammys and seven Brit Awards, Dua Lipa broke out with her self-titled debut album, which produced multiple international hits in 2017, including her first UK No. 1 single “New Rules.”

Lipa followed that up with 2020’s Future Nostalgia, which topped charts in 15 countries and hit #1 in the UK. Featuring hit singles like “Don’t Start Now,” “Levitating,” and “Break My Heart,” the album earned her the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2021.

Across her career, Dua Lipa has scored multiple No. 1 singles in the UK, numerous Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and billions of streams worldwide. The artist’s most recent album, Radical Optimism, released in 2024.

On screen, Lipa’s work has heretofore been limited to roles in Argylle and Barbie, as well as multiple appearances on Saturday Night Live, both as host and musical guest. She is represented by CAA, Radical22, and Permanent Press Media.
