Emma Watson is pulling her moves straight from the golden age of rom-coms. In a true-to-life Sleepless in Seattle moment, Watson hard-launched her relationship with billionaire Gonzalo Hevia Baillère in the middle of a Mexican airport (mad dash through the terminal not included).
So, what do we know about the Mexican billionaire? According to E! News, Gonzalo is a bit of a business nepo baby, as his grandparents founded the mining company Industrias Penoles before heading up the major Mexican conglomerate Grupo Bal. However, Gonzalo is not some socialite coasting on his family’s fortune or waiting to inherit the family business currently being run by his uncle. Per the French publication Quién, Gonzalo has made a name for himself as a startup founder in the artificial intelligence and logistics sectors before heading up his own international investment firm, HBeyond.

March 4, 2026: Despite the pink baseball cap, Emma Watson was unable to go incognito at a Mexican airport, where she was spotted making out with Gonzalo Hevia Baillère, according to photos published by Quién and Page Six.
According to People, the duo were later seen having dinner together at an “upscale restauraunt.”
February 1, 2026: DeuxMoi shares a blind item that Watson is dating the billionaire, with a source claiming the actor was spotted at a wedding in Mexico.
December 2025: According to Quién, the pair were first spotted in Courchevel in the French Alps. Since then, they have allegedly been spending time together in Mexico, with sightings in Punta Mita and Mexico City.
September 2025: Joking that dating is “a complete disaster,” Watson tells Jay Shetty she’s happy to date people who aren’t fans of her work. “It’s funny, occasionally people will apologize to me for the fact they’ve not seen my films. And I will be like, ‘Please don’t apologize. That is bliss to me,’” she says on the On Purpose podcast. “Like, music to my ears that you’re not going to constantly be navigating it. And me also navigating with you this projection of me, or this Emma Watson avatar-person will not be this ghost in the room.”
