For Anne Hathaway, the Devil’s in the Details

We’re still over a month away from The Devil Wears Prada 2, but Anne Hathaway is already stepping back into Andy Sachs’s shoes.

While out to dinner with her family in Milan this weekend, Hathaway wore a calf-length ponyhair coat in an on-trend leopard print. She’s just the latest to take a walk on the wild side: this month alone, Anya Taylor-Joy debuted Antonin Tron’s Balmain in a leopard midi skirt and Harry Styles toted a Chanel bag by Matthieu Blazy in the same motif.

But Hathaway’s accessories kept the coat from looking too trendy; instead of grounding the look firmly in 2026, her styling gave the outfit a distinctly ’70s flair. Hathaway wore her coat with white flared jeans and a pair of tinted rectangular sunglasses.

But it was Hathaway’s footwear that really grabbed our attention. The actor donned a pair of black leather clogs with a towering wooden platform and stud details around the toe. While wooden clogs have been canonized by the recent boho revival (thank you, Chemena Kamali), The Devil Wears Prada diehards may recall a time when that wasn’t the case. In an early scene in the film, a frantic Runway employee hurriedly swaps her commuter clogs for office-friendly pumps.

Twenty years later, however, on the precipice of TDWP2, Anne Hathaway reminds us that this once-uncool shoe is firmly in.
