The bixie—a trending cut halfway between a traditional pixie and a bob—also proved its vintage styling potential on the carpet. Teyana Taylor wore hers with flapper-coded finger waves, but kept a modern edge by leaving feathered ends and volume at the top of her head. This soft, face-framing texture is key to the in-between cut’s appeal.

Jessie Buckley, on the other hand, opted for the pageboy 1920s look: Her bixie was molded closely to the shape of her head, tucked behind her ears and set uniformly in place.

And while short styles dominated the flood of vintage hair looks at the 2026 Golden Globes, Sinners actor Hailee Steinfeld proved that long hair can pack just as much nostalgia. She wore her glossy brunette lengths in Old Hollywood waves, complete with a deep side part and a uniform, undulating curl pattern.
