Google’s latest Pixel drop allows Gemini to order groceries for you and more

With Gemini’s new agentic feature, you can ask the assistant to complete work on your behalf inside “select” apps, including Uber and Grubhub. It will work in the background while you use your phone, but Google notes that you can supervise or interrupt its work at any time. This feature will also be available on Samsung S26 phones, ahead of the similar features for Siri that have been delayed for months now.

Alongside the Gemini update, Google is adding some new features to Circle to Search, which lets you search for something on your screen just by drawing a circle around it. Now, users across the entire Pixel 10 lineup can use Circle to Search to break down an outfit and search for individual pieces, as well as select an option to virtually try on the look.

Google is also updating Magic Cue, the feature that can proactively make suggestions based on context across messaging, email, weather, and phone apps. When your friend asks for a restaurant recommendation, Magic Cue will automatically provide suggestions based on their preferences. This feature is coming to the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold in “select” countries and languages. These devices will also add a new “comfort” view, which “reduces visual stimulation from very bright or saturated colors.”

New features are coming to older Pixel phones, too. The Pixel 8 and up will display a new desktop experience when plugged into an external display, while people with a Pixel 7 and newer can use Google’s At-a-Glance widget to get updates on departures, delays, and alternative routes for their commute. Meanwhile, the Pixel 6 and up adds support for a Now Playing app that can identify music playing around you, custom AI-generated app icons, and a way to view sports scores and stock market prices from the home or lockscreen.
