Halle Berry is back on Team Bob this spring! After sporting a dimensional bronde lob with wispy curtain bangs while visiting the Vogue office during her “Crime 101” press tour, the actor has gone shorter and darker for a new project in Paris.
The actor debuted her new ‘do—a chocolate brown cheekbone-length bob courtesy of Renato Campora—on Instagram earlier this month, teasing, “Get ready…cooking up something special for ya with @ellie.foumbi.” The “something special” in question? Foumbi’s upcoming drama Fleur, in which Berry plays an American housewife who’s fled her decades-long marriage for Paris, where she’s reinvented herself as an “upscale escort and dominatrix,” per Variety.
Berry previously told Vogue’s The Run-Through that hair is her entry point into every character she plays. “That’s the first thing I have to figure out, honestly. Once I know the hair that’s on that person’s head, that tells me a lot about who they are,” she said.
And though it may be for a character, it looks just as chic on her day off roaming through Paris alongside fiancé Van Hunt. As bobs continue to trend this season, let Berry’s be a prime source of inspiration.
