Headphones? Wired. Beanie? Askew. Pinky? Ringed.
That’s how Harry Styles left his Williamsburg pied-à-terre this morning for his walk across the bridge into Manhattan. Since the release of his fourth album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, the singer has become a fixture around Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan, often spotted trekking between the two boroughs on foot.
The lifestyle change has also shaken up Styles’s…well, style. While we’ve grown accustomed to his Brit-pop bucket hats and Berlin-tinged raver glasses, the singer has pivoted to a full-fledged New York look—at least, according to his sweatshirt. Today, he opted for a vintage white Nike pullover from the 1994 US Open (the year he was born), which he wore with black stone-washed jeans and his tried-and-true Adidas Sambas. What better way to declare your residency than by literally wearing it on your chest?
But it was Styles’s accessorizing that really made him look like a true downtown lad. He plopped a tall black beanie atop his head, worn just off-kilter; his trusty yellow-lensed Jacques Marie Mage aviators; and wired headphones. In his pinky ring-clad hand, he clutched a tiny cup of iced coffee.
