Turkish production and distribution company Inter Medya and Dubai-based content outfit Rise Studios have entered a strategic co-production alliance focused on high-end scripted drama.
Under the agreement, the partners will co-produce the premium Turkish drama Caged Love (Tutsak Sevda).
Production is scheduled to begin in January 2026, with casting and the international rollout strategy currently in development. Inter Medya will serve as executive producer and will oversee global distribution.
The drama revolves around a young woman who, falsely accused and forced to flee, adopts someone else’s identity to protect a little girl who has no one else. Drawn into the world of a powerful family, she finds herself living a life built on borrowed truths.
Established in 1992 as a film distribution company, Inter Medya is one of Turkey’s most prominent independent media powerhouses.
After expanding internationally in the early 2000s, the company shifted its focus toward “Made in Turkey” dramas and series—content that now reaches audiences in more than 160 countries.

This co-investment marks an important step in strengthening our joint capacity to develop premium, globally competitive productions.
Created in 2022 with a focus on MENA content, Rise Studios’ recent slate includes Palestine 36, Once Upon A Time In Gaza, documentary It’s Ok Elissa; thriller All But Divorced; and dramas Forgetfulness and A Nose and Three Eyes.
These titles have aired on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and regional platforms including MBC Shahid and OSN+ .
