EXCLUSIVE: Jared Harris is set to join to join Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming feature What Happens at Night. Hailing from Apple Original Films and made in partnership with Studiocanal, the dream-like story follows a married American couple who travel to a small, snowy European town to adopt a baby. Patricia Clarkson and Mads Mikkelsen are also on board.
Scorsese will direct and produce for Sikelia Productions. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Peter Cameron, the script is written by Patrick Marber.
The film marks the latest collaboration for Scorsese, DiCaprio and Apple Original Films following the 10-time Oscar-nominated Killers of the Flower Moon. Lawrence has collaborated with Apple Original Films on projects including Causeway and Bread & Roses, along with the upcoming murder mystery feature The Wives in which she is set to star and produce.
Widely regarded as the one of greatest stage and screen actors both in his native Great Britain and internationally, from his breakthrough role as Andy Warhol in I Shot Andy Warhol (1996) and VH1’s Two of Us (2000) where he portrayed John Lennon to Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011) and Lincoln (2012), Jared Harris long list of film credits include The Last of the Mohicans, Natural Born Killers, Smoke, Happiness, How to Kill Your Neighbor’s Dog, Igby Goes Down, B.
