Jennifer Aniston just one-upped all your 2016 nostalgia posts by recreating her own look from over ten years ago.
I don’t know about you, but my Instagram feed has been flooded with throwback images as millennials reminisce over their King Kylie eras in 2016. Over in Glamour’s Slack channel, editors have been swapping old photos, realizing just how many of us owned the same Free People lace-up top or wore ankle boots and chunky socks with jean shorts for no discernible reason.
One item that dominated these snaps, of course, was the floppy black felt hat that had so many of us in a chokehold back when people still used the Rio De Janeiro filter. But why simply post to Instagram when you can dig out an old favorite in the here and now?
On January 15, the Morning Show star stepped out in a look that featured that very accessory in a modernized version of a quintessential 2016 uniform. Bracing for the New York cold, Aniston wore an olive green parka with a cozy black scarf, favoring a relaxed black fedora over lifting the hood of her coat. The only thing that placed this photo firmly in 2026, aside from her modern iPad, is her light-wash wide-leg jeans.
If you need any further proof we’re in 2010s renaissance, allow me to pull up a look Aniston wore out in New York back in October 2015. At the time, the Friends star paired her black felt fedora with that millennial green jacket (which is also making a comeback), as well as a pair of cuffed skinny ankle jeans that were truly of the time.
