Jessie Buckley won her first Academy Award for playing Agnes Hathaway in Hamnet at the 2026 Oscars. And obviously, such a moment calls for a look to match.
For Buckley, that meant taking inspiration from another Oscar-winning actress and timeless icon: Grace Kelly. It seems Buckley channeled Kelly for her dress, style, and hair, and maybe even as a good-luck charm for taking home the best actress statuette.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen the duo of red and pink on the red carpet, and Jessie Buckley really excelled with this Chanel dress. To start, there’s the long, flowing skirt and train that is pure Old Hollywood. And then there’s the top piece in red—an homage to the red carpet itself, perhaps?—that creates an ultraflattering Bardot neckline.
With such a standout dress, the only move is to wear relatively discreet jewelry. Buckley chose a delicate diamond choker and camellia-shaped earrings.
