KPMG’s UK partners were paid more than rivals at PwC and EY last year for the first time in at least a decade, as the Big Four accounting firm boosted profitability after years of scandals and underperformance.
KPMG said on Wednesday its partners were paid an average of £880,000 for the 12 months to September 2025, an 11 per cent increase from the previous year.
The figure eclipses the £865,000 and £787,000 earned by partners at PwC and EY, respectively, in their most recent financial years.
Partners at Deloitte were the best paid, receiving an average of £1.05mn.
KPMG, whose UK and Swiss businesses published combined results for the first time following a 2024 merger, reported profit before tax of £576mn for the year, a 14 per cent increase. It reported revenue of £3.6bn.
