Sally LaPointe used this season to showcase a presentation hosted at Fashionphile’s NYC headquarters. It was a sound collaboration between the two brands, considering how for every LaPointe statement look, you’re going to want an equally bold handbag to go along with it. “The idea was that my clients could come to see the collection and shop it but also check out a bag before they leave,” said LaPointe.
So what will be the going out vibes for the upcoming fall? According to LaPointe, lots of leopard, except more muted and darker than she’s ever done before. A statement coat is always a must and this season there was a sleek tailored leopard coat with a stiff collar for that edgy look. LaPointe also used this collection to explore some undiscovered territories. A fringe coat that looks like silk or satin in the lookbook was actually made of raffia. And while LaPointe is famous for furs, this season there were some great faux options that didn’t feel fake at all.
LaPointe also tapped a friend of the brand, Jordyn Woods, to style each of the models in a Woods by Jordyn shoe. It helped that the model and influencer is a tried and true LaPointe girl, making for some suave styling.
