After winning outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role at the SAG Actor Awards earlier this month, Michael B Jordan has become a strong contender in the best actor race at the 2026 Oscars. Ahead of the ceremony, though, the Sinners star cemented his place as one of the best-dressed men on the red carpet, wearing sharp Louis Vuitton tailoring embellished with a double chain detail at the pocket.
Styled by Jason Bolden, the actor has had an impeccable run this awards season, often favouring double-breasted suits. At the Critics’ Choice Awards in January, where he brought his mother Donna along as his plus-one, Jordan opted for a custom burgundy suit, again by Louis Vuitton, which he teamed with a matching checked tie and a pale pink shirt.
Meanwhile, for the Golden Globes, Jordan sported a custom brown suit by Prada, once again with a matching tie, but this time paired with a pastel yellow shirt. When it came to the accessories, the actor added a touch of sparkle with a starburst brooch and a diamond bracelet by David Yurman. More recently, at the Actor Awards, Jordan wore a grey double-breasted suit from Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann, teamed with a contrasting pale blue and white dress shirt and a navy polka-dot tie.
It just goes to show that men’s fashion on the red carpet doesn’t just have to involve a classic black tux. And if you land on a fashion formula that works, it pays to stick to it.
