Nicole Kidman Perfects the Pantsless Rom-Com Uniform for Her First Galentine’s Day Post-Divorce

Leave it to Nicole Kidman to make single look so chic on Valentine’s Day.

Okay, Kidman technically shared her latest Instagram post the day before Valentine’s Day in honor of Galentine’s Day, the friends-centric holiday coined by Parks & Recreations’s Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) in season two of the NBC sitcom. But my point still stands that Kidman made a solo date night look flirty and inviting with the striking combination of golden-hour lighting and the ultimate rom-com uniform: the boyfriend shirt.

In the post shared on February 13, Kidman wished her followers a happy Galentine’s Day in pink pinstripe pajama top that takes its cues from a men’s Oxford dress shirt. Sitting in bed cross-legged, you’d think she was getting ready for a cozy night’s sleep, if not for her vibrant pink pout and smokey eyeliner. Then again, I’ve definitely seen rom-com protagonists “wake up” in bolder makeup looks.

This February marks Kidman’s first Galentine’s and Valentine’s Day since her split from Keith Urban. After 19 years of marriage, the A-list couple separated in September 2025 and finalized their divorce in January of this year. “How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?” Kidman asked in a recent Vogue cover interview that was conducted just before the news went public.

But far from throwing chocolates at her TV like Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Nicole Kidman looks just as carefree and in love with life as any romantic lead just before the third-act breakup and grand gesture portion of events. You know, when they inexplicably throw on their boyfriend’s crisp button-up in lieu of a much more comfortable band t-shirt they probably have lying around.
